What’s the one thing you touch more than anything else? Your phone, of course. It goes everywhere you go, including your pocket, your purse, your desk, your car, your kid’s games, your bathroom, your bed. It collects germs along the way, too. In a recent study, 82% of cell phones were contaminated with bacteria and 16% had E. coli on them. (Yuck!)
Here’s how to clean your phone effectively and get those germs in check.
- Check the owner’s manual to see what the manufacturer has to say about cleaning.
- Wipe the screen every day with a microfiber cloth to get rid of dirt, oil and germs.
- Your phone case may be trapping dirt along the edges. If you have a plastic case, remove it from your phone once a week and clean the inside and the outside of the case with a disinfecting wipe. Let the case dry before putting it back on the phone.
- Keep your phone away from food and drink so the keys don’t stick.
Keeping your hands clean also will prevent the transfer of unwelcome germs to your phone.
Follow these steps, and you’re on your way to clean texting.
Info good. Last bullet about food and drinks would not apply to most contemporary phones. Thanks for the tips.
