A year ago, we launched a month long #SafeAndCleanAtHome challenge on cleaning for health and well-being. It was a fun way to connect and get some control in changing circumstances. As two weeks at home turned into a year, #SafeAndCleanAtHome became a weekly feature. When things began opening back up a bit, we expanded it to staying safe and clean everywhere!
What have we learned in the last year and how have cleaning habits changed? And more importantly, what are those cleaning habits we’ll keep even beyond the pandemic?
Most of us are still using more hand sanitizer and hand soap. The use of disinfectant wipes and sprays also increased and stayed up over the course of the past year. And these habits may not be going away anytime soon. 80% of households say they plan to maintain this increased level of cleaning beyond the pandemic. Think of all the colds, stomach bugs and other illnesses we can prevent through diligent hand hygiene paired with cleaning and disinfecting.
How have your habits changed? Tell us in the comments below. And follow #SafeAndCleanAtHome all this week for daily challenges focused on the most important habits to keep beyond the pandemic.
